Bradenton’s new Target store near I-75 announces grand opening date
Target has an opening date for its newest and biggest Manatee County store.
On Sunday, Aug. 17, the retail giant will open its doors at 725 Lighthouse Drive, Bradenton, near Costco in the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour shopping plaza.
The store encompasses more than 149,000 square feet and is expected to have about 200 employees, the company said.
That is one of the company’s larger-than-average stores, the Herald previously reported. Target stores are typically around 125,000 square feet.
Target, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, filed paperwork in January 2024 to build its third Manatee County store on the northeast corner of State Road 64 and Interstate 75.
Last August, the retailer opened a 76,000 square-foot, medium-sized store at 7350 Manatee Ave. W. in the Beachway Plaza. Bradenton’s original Target is at 6150 14th St. W., in Bayshore Gardens. That store is around 128,000 square feet, the Herald previously reported.

The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Piscataway, New Jersey-based Edgewood Properties is the developer for the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour plaza, which has welcomed Costco, Miller’s Ale House, LongHorn Steakhouse and many other new shopping and dining options.
