LongHorn Steakhouse announces opening date for new Manatee County restaurant

LongHorn Steakhouse announced its newest Manatee County location will open on Monday.

The popular chain’s 5,780-square-foot restaurant is located at 7185 S.R. 64 in the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour shopping center, which Costco anchors.

It’s the second LongHorn restaurant in Manatee County. The other opened in 2014 at 4502 14th St. W., Bradenton.

Known for its seven different steak cuts, LongHorn opens daily at 11 a.m. The restaurant, whose motto is “Steak as it was meant to be,” closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Some of the restaurant’s signature menu items include the Outlaw Ribeye, Flo’s Filet and LongHorn Salmon.

LongHorn’s steak offerings range in price from $16.99 for the Renegade Sirloin to $36.49 for the LongHorn Porterhouse.

The restaurant, which has curbside pickup and online ordering, seats 260 and employs 75 people, including certified grill masters who are trained to be experts at grilling, cutting and seasoning steaks, according to a news release.

LongHorn, a part of the Orlando-based Darden Restaurants group, first opened in 1981 in Atlanta, according to company history. Darden’s brands also include Olive Garden, Yard House, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood and Bahama Breeze.
