Bradenton man scores $1,000,000 prize on Florida Lottery game

A Manatee County man recently won a $1,000,000 prize on a lucky scratch-off ticket, the Florida Lottery said in a news release.

Gary Moore bought the winning ticket at Circle K, 836 301 Blvd. E., Bradenton, the Florida Lottery said.

Launched in 2024, the 500X The Cash game costs $50 per ticket and features the Florida Lottery’s largest scratch-off top prize ever at $25 million. One of the two top prizes has been claimed.

The game also offers 160 prizes of $1 million. Moore’s ticket secured him one of those $1 million prizes.

The Bradenton man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time payment of $640,000, the Florida Lottery said.

The overall odds of a winning ticket in the game are 1-in-4.23, according to the Florida Lottery. Odds of Moore’s $1 million win were 1-in-274,004.

Other recent local lottery winners include a Bradenton man who claimed a $2 million prize on a scratch-off game in February.
