What are grocery store hours for Thanksgiving in Bradenton? What’s open and closed

It happens to even the most prepared Thanksgiving chef — a forgotten ingredient leads you on a last-minute grocery grab.

Where can you find groceries on Thanksgiving Day? Most major stores around Bradenton and Manatee County will be closed for the holiday, but a few retailers will have limited hours.

Additionally, many big box stores that previously opened on Thanksgiving for early Black Friday shopping are remaining closed this year so that employees can spend time with their loved ones.

Here’s what to know.

Grocery store hours on Thanksgiving Day

  • Publix grocery stores and pharmacies will be closed on Thanksgiving. The retailer is also closed for Christmas and Easter. Find individual store hours at publix.com/locations.
  • ALDI stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Trader Joe’s stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Winn-Dixie stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day.

  • Detwiler’s Farm Market locations are closed Thanksgiving Day.

  • Acapulco Tropical y Mas, 3410 U.S. 301, Ellenton, is open 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

  • The Fresh Market, 6701 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton and 5251 University Parkway, University Park is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

  • Whole Foods, 5298 University Parkway, Sarasota is open 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

Big box stores hours for Black Friday

  • Walmart is closed Thanksgiving Day. Locations open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday.

  • Target will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Locations open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

  • Lowe’s and Home Depot are closed on Thanksgiving Day. Both stores open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

  • Sam’s Club and Costco are closed on Thanksgiving Day. Both stores open at 10 a.m. on Black Friday.
