A new Florida-based brewery is coming to Bradenton-Sarasota’s UTC mall area
A Florida-based craft brewery is the latest addition to a steadily growing number of entertainment options at the University Town Center in Sarasota.
Originally founded in Punta Gorda, which is where the craft brewery gets its name, Fat Point Brewing plans to open a 2,500-square-foot venue in UTC’s West District.
The brewery will feature a taproom and restaurant on Cattlemen Road, between Rocco’s Tacos and Tequila Bar and Ford’s Garage.
According to a press release, Fat Point’s menu features “coastal-inspired” bar fare. The brewery also plans to bring along its flavorful, award-winning beer selection, including the Bru Man Chu Belgian Trippel, the Ryeght Angle rye IPA and the company’s flagship Big Boca Ale.
“Fat Point is a brand built by the support of the community, and we’re very excited to bring our brand to this new community at UTC,” said LJ Govoni, president of Fat Point Brewing Co.
“The location will feature a significant number of taps for brewed-on-site exclusives and an inviting outdoor beer garden for socializing while sipping on great beers best enjoyed in the sun.”
A timeline for Fat Point’s grand opening at UTC was not provided.
Fat Point first opened in 2012 as Charlotte County’s first craft brewery, according to a press release. For more information, visit www.FatPoint.com.
