New nonstop flight announced from Sarasota-Bradenton airport to North Carolina

Avelo Airlines is adding a new nonstop route to North Carolina from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, starting Feb. 17.

The nonstop flights to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, the first offered by any airline serving SRQ, will be on Monday, Friday and Saturday.

Raleigh-Durham becomes the second destination served by Avelo from SRQ, since starting service in January between Sarasota-Bradenton and New Haven, Connecticut.

Raleigh-Durham also becomes Avelo’s fifth base. The new base enables Avelo to expand its air service to North Carolina’s Research Triangle region.

Avelo will fly Boeing Next-Generation (NG) 737 aircraft between SRQ and Raleigh-Durham and is offering introductory one-way fares starting at $39 are available at AveloAir.com.

Avelo was launched on April 28, 2021, and has flown more than 1.3 million customers on over 10,000 flights. The company now serves 34 destinations.
