The booming Parrish and North River areas continue to attract new businesses to Gateway Commons at the intersection of Interstate 75 and Moccasin Wallow Road.

The newest tenants announced there are The Blend Coffee & Cocktails, Pure Barre, Mid Florida Insurance Group, a fast food restaurant, a wireless provider and a medical group.

Stacha Madsen, owner of The Blend Coffee & Cocktails, has four locations in St. Petersburg. The Gateway Commons store would be her first outside Pinellas County.

On its website, The Blend announces that it is hiring baristas for its St. Pete stores.

Madsen has filed paperwork with Manatee County Building Services to build out her space.

Pure Barre has already started its tenant build out and hopes to be open by December.

“We looked for the location that had a more relaxed feel where our members could escape their hectic lives for a short while. With its green spaces, water features, and a super convenient location, Gateway Commons was perfect for us. Our Pure Barre will be the first boutique fitness center in the area bringing low impact, high intensity exercise classes seven days a week,” franchise owner Pamela Paulk said in a press release.

Mid Florida Insurance Group’s Michelle Yeomans said she picked Gateway Commons for one reason: location.

“New homes being built along with shopping centers, and we wanted to get in on the ground level and hopefully grow with the community. We are looking forward to opening in early 2023,” she said in the press release.

The identify of the fast food restaurant coming to Gateway Commons has not yet been released.

Publix opened in the shopping center in 2019.

“With Publix now generating stratospheric sales, it’s time to expand the center and continue with quality, well established businesses to join in the success,” Richard Trzcinski, president of Primerica Developments, Inc. of Tampa, said in the press release of the shopping center’s growth.

In addition to Publix, other tenants include Jet’s Pizza, Hornback Chiropractic & Wellness, Nail Boutique and Spa, Yummy Tokyo Asian Fusion Bistro, and Dental Care at Gateway Commons.

Primerica Developments also has the 280-unit Gateway Commons Apartments under construction at The Woods of Moccasin Wallow, just West of I-75. Gateway Commons Apartments is projected to open in the summer of 2023.
