Video shows alligator dodging traffic at one of Bradenton’s busiest intersections
An alligator spotted in the middle of one of Bradenton’s busiest intersections seemed to be in no hurry to escape danger on Monday evening.
The gator had to dodge traffic crossing U.S. 301 and State Road 70.
Paul Stewart, of Sarasota, posted a video of the gator to Facebook on Tuesday morning.
At 10:45 p.m., he spotted the gator crossing a busy State Road 70, after it left a retention pond near a Walmart.
The gator then roamed into heavy traffic on 301 and could be seen dodging a pick-up truck to make it across the street and into a grassy area off of the highway.
“I was shocked,” Stewart said. “I’ve seen alligators crossing roads before, but never this late or as busy of a road.”
