Multiple lanes closed on Cortez Road, SR 684 for water line break, FDOT says
One main road to Anna Maria Island to soak up some Florida sunshine on Manatee County’s beaches will have significant lane closures starting Wednesday because of a break in a water line.
According to the Florida Depart of Transportation, “the eastbound inside and dual left turn lanes on Cortez Road (West) and Seventh Street will be closed ... until crews can finish repairs to both the waterline and roadway.”
FDOT asks motorists to use caution in the area or choose an alternate route, and traffic could get backed up on SR 684.
Seventh Street is located one block west of 106th Street West off Cortez Road.
