Do you need food for your family? Here’s where you can get it this month in Bradenton
Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, which started the Food4Families program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the resulting economic impact, has two food distributions planned this month.
“So far we have provided more than 400,000 meals to families in Manatee County,” Amy Towery, vice president of development for the nonprofit, said recently.
“We will continue the program as long as the food and the funds are available,” she said.
Families in need can pick up food at drive-through distributions at the Renaissance on 9th/Bradenton Dream Center, 1816 Ninth St. W., 4-6 p.m. Wednesday and 4-6 p.m. Sept. 30.
Due to social distancing guidelines, families are asked to follow signage and remain in their vehicles.
The bags contain breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a family of five for two days or more, and it is offered free.
