Bradenton man dies after motorcycle crashes into pole

The motorcyclist hospitalized after crashing into a pole on U.S. 41 Wednesday has died, the Sarasota Police Department announced Thursday.

E.C. Snell, 41, of Bradenton, died after being transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Snell was traveling on a 2017 Kawasaki northbound on U.S. 41 when police say he swerved and crashed into a pole at the intersection of Myrtle Street.

Investigators don’t know why he swerved, but they don’t believe speed was a factor in the crash.

Police are continuing the investigation.
