Coral Springs woman identified in fatal Parrish crash
The 27-year-old Coral Springs woman who died in a crash in Manatee County on Tuesday has been identified.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Brandy Ibey died after her car struck a semitrailer carrying sand that was turning onto eastbound State Road 62 from southbound County Road 39.
Ibey was traveling westbound on State Road 62 and had a flashing yellow light at the intersection of County Road 39, while the semitrailer had a flashing red light, the FHP report said.
Around 7:45 a.m., the front of the semitrailer struck the left side of Ibey’s Volkswagon, causing the car to rotate and overturn.
The crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
