Dieter Zoellner handed over the reigns of Dieter’s Sod & Landscaping to Derek Goforth two months ago and will officially retire on Friday.

On Thursday, Dieter Zoellner and his wife Carole Zoellner, former CFO of the landscaping company, will host an open-house retirement party from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Dieter’s Sod & Landscaping, 2315 Zipperer Road, Bradenton. The location is six miles east of I-75 across from Bayside Community Church.

Goforth has 23 years of experience in the landscaping industry and worked with Dieter Zoellner for five years in management positions.

“I am confident Derek has the professionalism, experience, ambition and work-ethic needed to keep Dieter’s Sod & Landscaping the top sod installation company in the area,” Zoellner said in a release.
