Largest Manatee County real estate transactions top $10 million

Vacant land in Palmetto that will become an RV park and a Days Inn near Interstate 75 changed ownership in May, according to records released by the Manatee County Clerk’s office.

RV resort in Palmetto

In a 95-acre purchase, Chicago-based Bayside Lake RV LLC, an affiliate of manufactured home company Zeman Homes, bought vacant land in Palmetto in May from Sarasota-based developer Ed Rymer, under the name McMullen Creek LLC. The five parcels involved in the transaction were sold to Rymer in August 2016 for $2.4 million.

RV Business, an online RV industry publication, previously reported that Rymer and past president and CEO of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds David Gorin announced plans last year to turn the vacant land into an RV park.

Zeman Homes owns the Seasons in the Sun RV park, located in Mims, as well as the Paradise Park RV resort in Garden Prairie, Illinois.

Days Inn at I-75 and S.R. 64

Sarasota-based Sakardev LLC sold the Days Inn at 644 67th St. Circle E. to Bradenton-based Timotheus Ventures LLC for $3.8 million in early May. The hotel is a part of a traveler’s oasis, surrounded by restaurants and other hotels.

Sakardev LLC, headed by Pravin Gadhia, bought the 16,700-square-foot 60-room hotel for $3 million one year ago. Florida state corporate records list Robert O’Hearn as the manager for Timotheus Ventures LLC.

Land at Port Manatee

At the beginning of May, Port Plaza Management LLC bought a 48,900-square-foot combined office-warehouse from Federal Port Corp. for $2.9 million.

Federal Port Corp. is an affiliate company of the Port Manatee Commerce Center. The Port Manatee Commerce Center provides more than 30 percent of warehouse space for Port Manatee as well as office and storage space, according to the commerce center’s website.

The Port Plaza Management LLC records show Andrew Bellamah as the manager with a Silver Spring, Maryland, address, which is also the address for BNB Wealth Management company.

The Port Manatee Commerce Center bought the property for just under $1 million in August 2001.
