Q: What was the best business advice you ever received?
A: Treat people right, and save and invest your money. It’s extremely convenient when you have the money when you need it and don’t have to worry all the time.
Q: If you could choose another profession, what would it be?
A: Dermatologist. I went from hairdresser to being a trichologist, which is a scientific study of hair and scalp. It’s because of my daughter’s alopecia areata, an unpredictable autoimmune disorder. Dermatology falls right in that line.
Q: What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
A: Trying to reinvent myself from an ordinary cosmotologist into the medical side of trichology. I get a lot of referrals and I will be teaching soon at the U.S. Trichology Institute.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?
A: Spain and then Italy. I traveled to Europe but never to the southern part.
