JMX Brands makes 2016 class of Florida Companies to Watch

JMX Brands/DutchCrafters made the 2016 list of Florida Companies to Watch.

The list is assembled every year by GrowFL, an economic development program created in 2009 by the Florida Legislature. The group provides strategies, resources and support to second-stage companies, according to growfl.com.

Businesses on the Companies to Watch list generated more than $1 billion in revenue and increased employment by more than 1,000 jobs between 2012 and 2015.

Sarasota-based JMX Brands/DutchCrafters is an online retailer of Amish furniture. Entrepreneur Jim Miller used his Mennonite heritage and Amish connections with a web-savvy business model, according to a release from JMX, to create a company that would eventually build a 5,000 square-foot furniture store in Sarasota.
