TEDxSarasota hosts all-day event Oct. 6 in Venice

On Oct. 6, TEDxSarasota will host an all-day event with a “Technicolor Journey” theme.

“We’ll hear from those who have forged a new path, implemented new actions, invoked possibilities for us to explore,” says the event description on the TEDxSarasota website.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Venice Theatre, 140 Tampa Ave. W., Venice.

TEDxSarasota “highlights ideas, individuals, performances and stories that are lcoally relevant and globally scalable,” according to the TEDxSarasota website. Speakers from multiple fields, including technology, neuroscience, biology, finance athletics, arts and energy will speak on research and innovations.

Three sessions will be presented at the event, with breakfast and lunch provided. A social hour will follow. Tickets are required to attend the event and can be purchased through tedxsarasota.com.
