Local real estate investors purchase Bay Area Medical Plaza on Cortez Road
Local real estate investors Ronald Allen and John McKay have purchased Bay Area Medical Plaza, located at 3501 Cortez Road W., for $5.9 million according to county property records.
McKay said they are not ready to disclose all the plans for the land, which has more than 51,000 square feet of space, but he did give some insight into what’s to come.
“We’re gonna re-tenant it and put a Goodwill retail store in there, a donation center,” McKay said. “There’s approximately 15,000 (square feet) still to lease.”
McKay said HealthCare America, which was the largest tenant, has vacated and that Blake Medical Center has been removing all of the equipment.
“Before long, we’ll have an announcement as to how it will be laid out,” McKay said.
