Walmart to launch online grocery pickup service at Bradenton and Sarasota stores on Aug. 9
Walmart will launch its online grocery pickup service starting Tuesday, Aug. 9, at four locations in Bradenton and Sarasota.
The service is free, and customers are able to order their groceries online, then pick them up without even leaving their car. There are more than 30,000 items available for purchase online, and the price for each item is the same as in store, according to a Walmart press release.
“At Walmart, we have always been known for saving our customers money and, with services like grocery pickup, we are also saving them valuable time,” Phillip Keene, director of communications for Walmart in the Southeast, said in a press release. “Our customers have told us that grocery pick up is a game changer. They are now able to complete their grocery shopping in a matter of minutes – between errands or on their way home from an after school activity – without even unbuckling their seat belts.”
To use the online grocery pickup, go to http://walmart.com/grocery or use the Walmart grocery mobile app, enter your zip code to find your nearest store, then build your shopping list. When you check out, you can select a time to pick up your groceries.
The Bradenton location that will feature online grocery pickup is at 5315 Cortez Road W.
