Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, Game On Nation partner to create Executive Academy series
The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, in partnership with Game On Nation, is unveiling a new leadership development series in September titled “The Executive Academy: Real Skills for Real Business.”
The training focuses on six areas -- branding, communication, economic IQ, leadership, talent retention and workplace wellness.
“The Executive Academy is a unique platform for professionals to enhance their management and team building skills from the premier firm in the industry,” LWRBA chairman Darren Inverso said in a press release. “The board of directors and staff are excited to bring this opportunity as a first of its kind to the region.”
Bradenton-based Game On Nation, whose clients include NASCAR, Hilton and the Pittsburgh Pirates, uses a game-based training technique called MILE that provides experiential learning through mystery, incentive, laughter and empowerment. The company was based at IMG Academy from 2003-12.
“Many of our clients are on the national scale, but we are equally driven to work with influencers who can impact our local community,” game on founder Steve Shenbaum said in a press release. “This exciting program gives us a chance to do just that.”
Applications are now being accepted for the Executive Academy course, and the deadline to enter is 5 p.m. on Aug. 10. The series will run from 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every other Friday starting Sept. 9 and ending Nov. 18 at 8430 Enterprise Circle, Suite 140, Lakewood Ranch. The cost is $1,200, and you must be a member of the LWRBA to apply.
