Michael J. Furen has received recognition as a 50-year member of The Florida Bar. Furen is an attorney at Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg, P.A. Marc Hanson is the new director of operations at Selah Freedom. Hanson previously was chief financial officer for Caldwell Trust Co. and served on the Board of Education in New Jersey. He received his master of business administration degree in accounting from Argosy University and his bachelor’s degree in finance from Ryder University.
William E. Partridge has been named Sarasota and Manatee Counties’ 2016 Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers. This recognition marks the 10th time Partridge has received an award from Best Lawyers. He also received commendation for his civil litigation work with the naming of Best Civil Trial Lawyer by Best Lawyers and a Top 100 Florida Trial Lawyer by National Trial Lawyers Association. He is a partner at Grossman Roth, is a Florida board-certified attorney and is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Dani Leone is the new office manager at Discount Med Direct in Sarasota. She has worked at Discount Med Direct for five years.
Andrea McHugh is the new president of The Children’s Guardian Fund. Carol Belmont is the new vice president and Tina Mroczkowski is the new secretary. McHugh is a Felony Division Chief at the State Attorney’s Office in Sarasota. Belmont is a volunteer Guardian ad Litem in Manatee and Mroczkowski is an attorney at Bowman George in Sarasota.
Michael Resnick and Teresa Jones were named to the 2016 Florida Super Lawyers list by Thomson Reuters. Resnick and Jones are attorneys at Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A. Resnick was named for the 10th consecutive year and Jones for the ninth consecutive year. She is a resort and second-home property specialist and has earned the Graduate, Realtor Institute 300 and 100 series designations.
