Gas prices slip above $2 a gallon

Gas prices have slipped above the $2 mark over much of the country the first time in three months. They're being pushed by increased prices on crude oil, increased demand and the fact that refineries conduct regular maintenance every spring, which cuts back on production. The result is that the national average for a gallon of regular gas rose five cents in the past week to $2.03, according to AAA. The average went up 3 cents to $2.06 in Florida and 5 cents to $1.98 in Georgia.
