Benderson Development Co. files notice of commencement for Smoothie King on Holmes Beach

MANATEE -- At the beginning of March, Benderson Development Co. filed a handful of notice of commencement documents with Manatee County, including one for a Smoothie King on Holmes Beach at 3248 East Bay Drive.

The notice was filed March 3 by Anna Maria Associates L.P., a Benderson subsidiary. Smoothie King offers a variety of made-to-order fruit and protein smoothies. According to the Smoothie King website, a location is headed for Siesta Key at 6320 S. Tamiami Trail.

According to another notice filed March 3 by a different Benderson company, a Weight Watchers location is headed for 8449 Honore Ave. in The Square at UTC, anchored by the Home Depot.

Benderson also filed a notice of commencement for a $400,000 shell building at 5316 Lockwood Ridge Road in its Lockwood Commons property.

Plans for changes to the SRQ Commerce Park at Tallevast Road and U.S. 301 were also filed March 3.

Lansing Building Products, a Tampa-based building materials and supplies company, will move into the multi-tenant building at 7810 25th Court E. The declared value of the renovation is $60,000, according to Manatee County permits. A new storefront will be constructed nearby at 7910 25th Court E., with a declared value of $32,000.

In September, Benderson subsidiary 2550 TR LLC filed

$600,000 plans for a new shell building at 8010 25th Court E. On March 3, the company filed a notice of commencement.

Current tenants of the SRQ Commerce Park include Berry Plastics, Omicron Granite, Classic Cars of Sarasota, RND Automation, Florida Cooling Supply, Barker Boat Works and Rexel.
