What is the best business advice you've ever received?

No matter what the cost, be honest in your relationships, both personal and business. (Thanks, Dad!)

If you could choose another profession what would it be?

Bovine veterinarian. I grew up in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Wisconsin, always in farm country. I loved seeing calves born and wanted to be part of it.

What's the biggest risk you have taken in your career?

After retiring from the airline industry, I invested in a retail upscale pet boutique that ultimately won national awards based on our outstanding customer service.

If you could travel the world, where would you start?

I have traveled much of the world, and my starting point was always at church. Before leaving town, I prayed to be provided safe travel.
