What was the best business advice you ever received?

See your business as a child and that resonated for two reasons: Like a child, you give it everything. One does take better care of their business than themselves. At some point you have to learn that your child will become independent and you learn how to delegate and let go.

If you could choose another profession, what would it be?

To be a reporter. I love to read and as a reporter you get to deal with new topics all the time. Since I am always intrigued about everything and love to explore, that's what I would pursue.

What is the biggest risk you've taken in your career?

Starting my own business and pouring everything into it was a risk but it has also been the most rewarding.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?

Thailand and the rest of Asia. That part of the world I haven't explored yet. My husband and I had plans to move to Thailand but went to the U.S. instead.
