SCF to offer private investigator course

BRADENTON -- State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Workforce Solutions, plans a private investigator course at its Bradenton campus.

It focuses on becoming a licensed private investigator and begins Feb 26 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

Classes in the 40-hour course will be 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26; Saturday, Feb. 27; Sunday, Feb 28; Saturday, March 5; and Sunday, March 6.Fridays’ classes are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturdays’ and Sundays’ classes are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Cost of the five-day course is $395.

It meets the state licensing requirements to earn the private investigator intern license and qualifies applicants to apply for a private investigator's internship through the Florida Division of Licensing.

Susan Ewell, president/CEO of SCI Investigations and William Kemper, criminal justice professor at SCF and University of South Florida, will teach.
