Names and faces
Brian Leidel, Phoebe Trumpler and Heather Williams, managers for Kerkering, Barberio & Co., Certified Public Accountants, have been admitted as shareholders. Leidel specializes in business and financial planning and tax preparation. Trumpler's primary practice is in tax preparation and consulting with an emphasis in international tax. Williams' areas of practice are in individual and estate and trust taxation and consulting.
Rebecca Samler, broker/owner of Coastline West Realty of Florida, was named a 2016 Five-Star Best in Client Satisfaction Real Estate Agent by Sarasota Magazine for an 11th consecutive year.
Jedidiah "Jed" Lippincott has been appointed chief operating officer of Seafood Shack Enterprises. Lippincott joined The Seafood Shack in April as controller and has been instrumental in the restaurant's success in its first year under ownership of the VanDyk Group of Companies. He brings a wide range of experience in the hospitality industry. In 2005, Lippincott relocated to Sarasota to work at The Ritz-Carlton as accounts manager. He has a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of South Florida and is pursuing a master's degree in business administration from USF Sarasota-Manatee.
Brandy Hudson has joined The Seafood Shack's sales and marketing team as event manager. Hudson will plan, organize and lead all special events in the Seafood Shack's second floor banquet space, which includes the
Hunters Point Room and Neptune Room overlooking the intracoastal waterway. Hudson graduated from the University of Central Florida, where she majored in event management. She most recently worked as clubhouse coordinator at IMG Academy.
Sandra L. Pepper has joined Caldwell Trust Co. as vice president and senior trust officer. She has more than 35 years of experience
in the industry, providing estate planning and other financial advice to high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions. Pepper began her career in the corporate trust division of Winters National Bank & Trust Co., Dayton, Ohio, where she worked for seven years. In 1983, she relocated to Sarasota and spent the next 16 years as vice president and trust officer in the personal trust division of Bank of America. She joined the wealth management division of Northern Trust in 1999, serving as vice president and senior trust adviser. Pepper and her husband, Mark, reside in Lakewood Ranch.
Beth Bonsall of Kerkering, Barberio & Co., Certified Public Accountants has passed the special enrollment examination to obtain her designation as an enrolled agent. She can now represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Bonsall is a senior accountant and began her career with Kerkering Barberio in July 2004. Her primary area of practice is in accounting with a focus in international taxation.
Carmen Denham has joined Duncan Real Estate as a vacation rental agent. Denham has been a licensed real estate agent since 2006 and has a business management background.
Christopher Rowe has joined SouthTech, an IT Services firm, as a support analyst and executive support specialist. Rowe started out as a programmer, which led him to customer and project support. He also spent many years as a customer care executive. He has worked in all levels of support including specialized Network and Mac support.
