Linda Formella, a managing broker for Michael Saunders & Co., has been named the 2016 president of the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. She becomes the second president of the association, which was created through a merger of separate Realtor Associations in Manatee and Sarasota counties at the start of 2015. She succeeds Stafford Starcher, a Sarasota Re/Max Realtor who has served as the first president of the combined association. Foremlla has worked in the real estate industry for more than 18 years. Formella graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and has lived in Manatee County for 25 years. She has been married to her husband, Joe, for 37 years. The couple has two adult daughters.

Adriana Sipe, a real estate sales professional in Manatee County has joined Keller Williams on the Water. Sipe is originally from Brazil and moved to Manatee County in 1984, graduating from Palmetto High School in 2000, she started her real estate career in 2001 as a receptionist at a local real estate company. She took a position as an assistant with a commercial Realtor, who introduced her to multi-family management. Within a few years that position lead to a corporate position managing very large complexes in the area from 27 units to 900 units.

Tim Connors has been elected to the position of vice chairman for the Sarasota Transportation Disadvantage Committee. Connors's responsibilities as vice chairman will be evaluating vendor contracts as a member of the executive committee and he will preside over all meetings of the TDC in the chairman's absence. Since 2010, Connors has been employed at the Suncoast Center for Independent Living in Sarasota. Initially, he was the advocacy coordinator and in 2013 he was promoted to program director where he supervises and manages consumer programs. Previous to SCIL, Connors managed the handicap parking program for football games at Florida State University in Tallahassee.
