Chris Tomasso has been promoted to president of First Watch. Tomasso joined the First Watch executive team in 2006 and has led the company's marketing and strategic branding efforts during a decade of significant growth for the company. Tomasso, a 23-year restaurant veteran, will be responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations in addition to First Watch's marketing and culinary functions. Before First Watch, Tomasso served as vice president of marketing for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. and vice president of Worldwide Marketing for Hard Rock Café International. Tomasso was named a top private company CMO in 2012 by ExecRank and serves on the board of directors for the National Restaurant Association's marketing executive group and the marketing advisory board for Share Our Strength's Dine Out for No Kid Hungry.

Margo MacKenzie, an agent in Wagner Realty's downtown Sarasota office, recently received the distinguished service award from the Realtor Association of Sarasota Manatee. MacKenzie organized the Sarasota International Real Estate Conference. Under MacKenzie's leadership the area's Global Business Council sponsored 13 seminars and increased membership from 252 to 334. It was recognized as a platinum council for the first time, one of 17 in the nation.

Robin Safley has been named executive director of the Florida Association of Food Banks. As a community leader in maintaining state-wide nutrition and wellness programs, Safley has more than 15 years of experience in promoting health within the education realm and 20 years of experience implementing legislative development on behalf of various government organizations. All Faiths Food Bank's CEO Sandra Frank is secretary of the FAFB board of directors and led the executive search committee. As executive director, Safley will work to raise awareness of hunger in Florida, acquire food and financial donations, as well as work with state legislators to garner additional support to end hunger. Safley holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Florida State University and a juris doctor degree from the FSU College of Law.

Attorney Peter J. Krotec, a partner with the Sarasota law firm of Syprett Meshad, has been recognized by the

American Institute of Legal Counsel as a 2015 "10 Best" attorney in Florida, in the practice area of family law. Krotec has practiced marital and family law in Sarasota since 1989.

Larry Kassouf has joined Keller Williams Realty Select as a real estate agent. Kassouf's experience in real estate transactions began in the late 1970s. Most of those jobs involved land use changes, rezoning, variances and the resolution of permitting issues.

Donna Morrell has joined Keller Williams Realty Select as real estate agent. Morrell is also a registered nurse.

Hung Lee has joined Keller Williams Realty Select as a real estate agent. Lee has a master's degree in business from Carnegie Mellon University. He is newly licensed as a real estate sales associate. He has been living in Florida for the eight years after moving from the Washington, D.C., area.

Stephen J. Martin, CEO SRQ Wealth Management, has been elected president of the Estate Planning Council of Manatee County for the 2015-16 season. Martin previously served as the secretary, treasurer, and in 2014, vice president of the organization. The council serves as an organization of professionals in the legal, tax, trust and financial planning industries.
