BVS Holdings, a Weston real estate investment company, expects to open its modularly built Comfort Cove Senior Care in Bradenton early next year. Constructed with stacked, craned-in, pre-fabricated sections, the assisted living facility got a quick start in early 2014, but is now about a year behind an earlier estimate for opening. The company's chairman, Brent Crego, expects to receive a certificate of occupancy sometime during the first quarter of 2015.

The project is sited on 6.6 acres along 14th Street West that were once the location of a mobile home park.

All major construction and finishing work on the facility is complete. Some heating and air conditioning work remains. Crego said the facility will not start hiring staff or leasing units to residents until it is approved for move-in.
