PALMETTO -- Jupiter Marine International is using this week's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to unveil its newest boat, a luxury craft dubbed the 34LX.

The boat debuts after more than four years of research and design, according to the company. The 34LX is a hybrid of the company's center console and 41SB models. At 33 feet, 9 inches in length with a 10-foot, 5-inch beam, the 34LX was designed to accommodate multiple activities, including sport fishing, evening cruising and overnight excursions for up to four people.

The boat will debut at the boat show at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center at 801 Seabreeze Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Jupiter Marine's display booth is on the south side of the center at Dock C in slips 312, 314 and 316.

Founded in 1989 in Jupiter, Florida, Jupiter Marine relocated to its current 50,000-square-foot facility in Palmetto in 2007.
