What was the best business advice you ever received?

Follow your passion. The environment has long been a passion of mine. We reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible. Having a job dealing with solar just adds to that passion in my life.

If you could choose another profession, what would it be?

Seamstress. I make bathing suits for my daughter and her swim team and for others as well. They're all custom-made as there are different girls with different shapes and sizes.

What is the biggest risk you've taken in your career?

Leaving my previous career to finish school and start over. I was the primary breadwinner for our family with a job in the insurance business. I read an article on an energy technology program, and that's when I made the decision to go back to school. I finished school and landed an internship with this company and got the job afterwards. I believe that solar truly is the energy of the future.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?

Australia, the Great Barrier Reef. We scuba dive and my husband is a charter fisherman. It would be all fishing, diving and boating.
