Motorworks Brewing, The Donut Experiment collaborate on brew

BRADENTON -- Motorworks will release their second beer in collaboration with Anna Maria Island's The Donut Experiment. The beers are inspired by the donut shop's best-selling flavors. The first Collaboration Donut Brew, Keylime Pie Donut Experiment Hefeweizen, was inspired by The Donut Experiment's Key Lime Donut and the second is modeled after The Donut Experiment's raspberry vanilla donut.

The Raspberry Vanilla Donut Experiment Saison is on tap at Motorworks, 1014 9th St. W. and is amber in color with a pungent fresh raspberry aroma, as described in a Motorworks release.

The brew has a medium body and silky mouthfeel from the use of lactose sugar and 5 pounds of dry ingredient donut batter from The Donut Experiment. Up-front flavors of tart and subtly sweet raspberry are apparent followed by a drying finish and lingering spiciness from the batter.

The beer is only available at the Motorworks tasting room along with 25 other fresh-brewed beers. Visit motorworksbrewing.com to see what's available.
