What was the best business advice you ever received?

Listen. I worked in a number of different companies, some for profit, some non profit. The key to communication is to listen what the media wants, what the donor wants, what volunteers and partners want.

If you could choose another profession, what would it be?

Some type of artist. There is a lot of artistry in what I do, design work is part of my job. I see myself doing abstract art in my spare time or stand-up comedy.

What is the biggest risk you've taken in your career?

Applying for my current job which I knew was a pretty high profile job with well over 200 applicants. I had a very comfortable job and I was so not sure that I would get this job. Now I have this job I am fully satisfied and happy. It's in my heart.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?

I've been to many places. But in the wake of the disasters there, I'd visit Nepal. It's a far away place that was devastated by earthquakes this year, but I hear it's a wondrous place to visit.
