Anytime Fitness opens club on Manatee Avenue in West Bradenton

BRADENTON -- Anytime Fitness, a franchise fitness company with more than 2,000 clubs open in North America, will open another location at 4001 Manatee Ave. W.

The 24-hour fitness chain has seven other locations in the Bradenton, Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch areas. Mark Daly, National Media Director for Anytime Fitness said the Minnesota-based company likes to open multiple clubs close together because it increases brand awareness and gives members a better chance of sticking to their goals.

"We find people will join the club but not use it often unless they live within 3 to 5 miles of the club," Daly said.

Ideal locations for Anytime Fitness are in "popular retail centers with a large, well-known anchor," he said. The shopping center that houses the new Manatee Avenue club is anchored by Publix.
