Audi Keeps Its Special Lease Offer for the Q5 Premium Plus this May
The 2026 Audi Q5 in a Nutshell
Audi was relatively late in the compact luxury crossover game, but it came well prepared with the launch of the Q5 in 2008. Aimed squarely at the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLK (later GLC), the Q5 has been Ingolstadt's best-selling product for over a decade. It took the sales crown from the A4 in 2015, and hasn't looked back since.
The Q5 was comprehensively redesigned in 2024 for the 2025 model year and rides on Audi's new Premium Platform Combustion chassis. Bigger and packed with more tech, the company aims to replicate the success of the previous generations with this latest generation. Even though it's still fresh off a full model change, the Q5 already sees several key changes for 2026.
2026 Audi Q5 Lease Deals for May
This month's lease deal for the Audi Q5 is just for one trim. It's specific to the mid-level Premium Plus trim, although the good news is it's for the 2026 model. This month, Audi's best-selling model in the land can be leased for $659 for 36 months with $5,753 due at signing.
Do note that the due-at-signing price varies by state, so it's best to contact your nearest Audi dealer. We did, however, notice that most retain the monthly payment of $659, which is unchanged from the previous month. For the Q5, it's $0.25 per mile in excess of 32,500 miles. This offer is valid until June 2, 2026.
2026 Audi Q5 Highlights
The 2026 Audi Q5 is available in three trims, namely Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. Base prices range from $52,800 all the way to $60,700, although there is also the SQ5 that starts at $65,400. Each trim adds in more equipment, although various option packages are available for all models.
New for 2026 is the return of more physical controls on the steering wheel. The infotainment system also benefits from an update, now with a simpler and easier-to-use interface. Its voice command system was also given enhancements, and Audi Signature Care scheduled maintenance is included to entice more customers towards the new Q5. As for standard equipment, it comes with Quattro all-wheel drive, a basic set of advanced driver assists, front seat heaters, tri-zone automatic climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
All are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 268 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. However, those who'd prefer more power and cylinders from their Q5 will have to go for the SQ5, with its 3.0-liter turbo V6 producing 362 hp and 406 lb-ft. An RS Q5 model is also in the pipeline.
Final Thoughts
The redesigned Q5 continues to build on the strengths of its previous generations by offering more space and technology. But what this new model nails down is the ride-and-handling balance, making it by far the best Q5 yet from behind the wheel. With three trims to choose from, there's also greater variety than its peers, and the available packages further enhance this crossover. Before heading straight to the BMW or Mercedes-Benz showroom, it's worth swinging by Audi to check out this crossover.
