The WD-40 Company didn’t design X-14 Mildew Stain Remover to come out of the bottle on its own. That’s why about 130,000 16-ounce and 32-ounce bottles have been recalled.

The exact problem, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice: “Pressure can build up inside the bottle and cause it to fall over and leak, posing a risk of skin irritation.”

So far, this chemical skin irritation hasn’t happened yet, as far as the WD-40 Company knows. Still, the safety commission and Publix announced the recall Wednesday.

This covers 16-ounce bottles with lot Nos. from 20052 O to 20063 O and 32-ounce bottles with lot Nos. from 20062 O – 20127 O. Lot numbers can be found on the back of the bottle.
