Ask Jarvis: Digital marketing workshops: Web Jarvis is hosting a series of workshops geared toward helping women-owned small businesses with digital marketing. The first workshop will be an easy-to-understand overview of SEO (search engine optimization). Participants will gain a solid knowledge of the different components that affect where their business ranks on a search engine. USF Sarasota-Manatee: The art of negotiation: This six-hour, two-day class delves into the elements of successful negotiations. The class will be led by Ross P. Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance: The LWRBA and the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch will host a luncheon with Neil Phillips, the founder and head of school at Visible Men Academy, an all-boys public charter school in Bradenton. Neil has more than 25 years of experience as an educator, entrepreneur, coach and youth advocate. He is regarded as a national thought leader and renowned speaker on black male achievement, minority education, race in America, character development, and youth empowerment.
