What’s new in Manatee County: Zaxby’s, Chick-fil-A and more
Zaxby’s, a fast-casual restaurant best known for its chicken fingers, wings and salads, will open its first Manatee County location on Monday at 6591 State Road 70 E., adjacent to Manatee Technical College.
Connoisseurs of the chicken chain laud its extensive menu, which includes “zappetizers” and “zalads” as well as several types of chicken, ranging from wings to tenders to grilled sandwiches.
The 3,800-square-foot, 70-seat eatery will be the second Zaxby’s store for licensee Britt Smallwood.
“I have grown up around the brand and couldn’t be more excited to open a Zaxby’s in Bradenton. My dad opened his first store six years ago, and since the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, I opened my first Zaxby’s two years ago,” Smallwood said. “Bradenton is the ideal location to expand the brand in Florida, and I look forward to establishing long-term partnerships with local organizations.”
Zaxby’s operates more than 800 restaurants in 17 states, mostly in the Southeast.
The East Manatee location will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
