Bradenton-based store chain offers some of the best Black Friday deals, study says

A WalletHub study found that Bealls Florida stores have some of the best Black Friday deals, discounting some items more than 50 percent.

For the study, WalletHub surveyed nearly 10,000 deals from 35 of the biggest U.S. retailers’ 2017 Black Friday ad scans to create the list of stores that are offering the largest advertised discounts in various product categories, according to their methodology.

Bealls, which is based in Bradenton, came in at No. 6 on the list for the 2017 holiday shopping season, with a 52.8 percent average discount.

But the best deals to be found at Bealls Florida stores are in the appliance and furniture section, according to WalletHub. The survey ranked Bealls the second best deals on appliances and consumer packaged goods this year and fifth best in furniture discounts.

Bealls discount on consumer packaged goods was calcuated at 59.28 percent, according to WalletHub.

The top 10 retailers named by WalletHub were:

▪  JCPenney

▪  Belk

▪  Stage

▪  Shopko

▪  Bealls Florida

▪  Sears

▪  Macy’s

▪  Fred Meyer

▪  AAFES

Kohl’s, the top retailer this year, had an average 66.3 percent discount for Black Friday deals.

Amazon and Target were also in the top 12.
