Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association: The CWC-FPRA will hold its annual media breakfast that will includes a panel discussion featuring media representatives who will discuss the ways local news outlets are reinventing themselves across multiple platforms. After the panel discussion, a series of rotating roundtables will give attendees the opportunity to speak to media representatives and gain insight on how to pitch stories and develop relationships with the press. Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance: East Meets West Regional Business Expo. In collaboration with the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce, the LWRBA will hold the ninth annual expo. More than 750 from Manatee and Sarasota counties are expected. Complimentary tasting samples will be provided by restaurant partners, goodie bags will go to the first 250 guests and a cash bar will be available. Manasota SCORE: Success strategies for business owners workshops. The workshop will offer information and advice to help market and grow a business. The program will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Jacaranda Public Library, 4143 Woodmere Park Blvd., Venice. This program is titled “Doing Business In and With Sarasota County” and will include experts from the county’s planning, tax collector, procurement, health and utilities departments to answer regulatory questions and give tips on how to sell services or products to the county.
