Names and faces: Nov. 13, 2017
Michael Ritter was named president of the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee. He has been a longtime member of the federation’s board of directors, serving most recently as treasurer and vice president. A retired CPA and senior partner at Ernst & Young, Ritter moved to the Manatee-Sarasota region in 2006 from northeast Ohio, where he still serves on the board and administrative committee for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. In addition to his Federation involvement, Ritter serves as board chair of The Perlman Music Program/Suncoast and is on the boards of the Israel Tennis Centers Foundation and Parkwood LLC.
Bill Thielen was promoted to director of risk management at Goodwill Manasota. He will be responsible for contributing new ideas as well as implementing programs and procedures that impact safety, loss and risk issues. Thielen has been with Goodwill since 2009 and recently earned his Loss Prevention Certification, which covers knowledge in leadership, loss prevention, supply chain security and risk management.
Bill Robertson, CEO and personal injury attorney for Sarasota-based law firm Kirk Pinkerton, PA, received the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, a legal services rating organization, for the 15th consecutive year. The AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating is the highest peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards.
Thomas Luzier, a board-certified real estate lawyer and shareholder of Dunlap & Moran, PA, in Sarasota, was voted chair of the Florida Real Estate Commission. He will lead FREC’s work to administer and enforce Florida’s real estate license law to protect the state’s consumers. FREC’s seven members represent different communities throughout Florida and are appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to serve four-year terms.
April Pyle was promoted to general manager and Sherman Kirkpatrick was named director of marketing for Bradenton's Johnson Printing. Pyle has been with the company for 27 years, while Kirkpatrick has been with the firm for six years. Johnson Printing is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Bradenton.
Wagner Realty released its top producers for October. Listings honors went to Jennifer Delbo (El Conquistador); Cindy Greco (Greco Team at Cortez Road); Mary Moore (Longboat Key); Lynda Melnick (Melnick Property Group at S.R. 64 East); Ed Kinkopf (Manatee Avenue West); Debra Ibasfalean (Anna Maria Island); Jami Herter (First Street, Sarasota); Cyndi Myers and Diane Lee (Lakewood Ranch) and David Fletcher (Commercial Division).
