New shaded parking opened at SRQ

The Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority announced the opening of the recently constructed outdoor shaded parking lot at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) to the public.

The parking lot is located on the east side of the terminal and provides shaded parking spaces for approximately 300 vehicles. The parking rate in the shaded parking lot will be the same as short-term parking rates at SRQ (daily maximum $15).

The new lot has an automated exit and will only accept credit cards as payment – the lot will not utilize staffed exit booths. Those entering the lot will take a ticket and use a credit card when exiting. An intercom system will be available in case of an emergency.

Signage to the covered parking lot was installed on Airport Circle. Customers will have to turn right onto a one-way street leading to the new parking facility before reaching the terminal building.

Vehicles dropped off for valet parking service are also parked in the covered parking facility. Valet parking is available for $18 maximum per day. The valet parking attendant is located at the terminal’s main overhang at curb side, immediately following the airlines’ ticket wing.
