The sandy beaches, the blue waters, the sun, the food, the reality show ... wait.

Seriously, though, Sarasota once again topped a destination list. This time, the city was named the best place in the U.S. to retire in 2018 by U.S. News and World Report.

The list is intended to show retirement spots with a “high quality of life at an affordable price.”

“The area boasts miles of sandy beaches that draw retirees and tourists eager for relaxation and rejuvenation,” the U.S. News and World Report ranking explained.

It also gives a nod to the Sarasota School of Architecture, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and Doctors Hospital of Sarasota.

To the north, Tampa also made the list of best places to retire, coming in at No. 29.

Though Bradenton wasn’t included, a number of other Florida cities were named in the list:

  • Daytona Beach
  • Fort Myers
  • Orlando
  • Jacksonville
  • Lakeland
  • Tampa
  • Miami

Earlier this year, financial website WalletHub also named Sarasota as the best place to retire in Florida.
