Names and faces: Oct. 2, 2017

Dominic Casanueva, a senior vice president and senior financial adviser at Merrill Lynch in Sarasota, was named to Forbes’ inaugural “America’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors” list. The Lakewood Ranch resident and University of Florida graduate focuses on retirement planning strategies for businesses and individuals, helps corporations develop 401(k) and retirement plans for their employees, and works with individuals to help develop wealth management strategies.

Lucy Halterman and Sharon Meier joined Wagner Realty’s El Conquistador office. Halterman was named Salesperson of the Year four times in North Carolina before relocating to the Bradenton-Sarasota region. Meier, whose father was a real estate developer and mother was a real estate broker, grew up in Bradenton and is a graduate of Bayshore High School.

Sean Dreznin and George Kruse recently announced the formation of SBR Commercial, a real estate investment advisory team at Keller Williams Commercial in Lakewood Ranch. Dreznin and Kruse have more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience spanning all aspects of the investment sector – from sales advisory and property/portfolio management to institutional and private finance. SBR Commercial specializes exclusively on investment-focused commercial real estate with a primary focus on Manatee and Sarasota counties.

James Michael Welch was added to the Sarasota-based FCCI Insurance Group’s board of directors. He has been associated with FCCI as an agent for more than 30 years and was chosen for his new role based on his appreciation for and understanding of FCCI’s history and legacy, in addition to his industry knowledge and agent perspective.

Jan Oglesby was named marketing director at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, a full-service business law firm. She brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications, branding and event planning to the Sarasota office. Oglesby has worked in several industries, including finance, health care, corporate law, forensic engineering and private aviation.
