Motorworks expanding operations by doubling production capacity
To keep pace with its expanding distribution, Motorworks Brewing in Bradenton is doubling its production capacity with the addition of five fermenters.
A fermenter with a capacity of 150 barrels was installed last week at the brewery at 1014 Ninth St. W. Two additional 150-barrel fermenters and a pair of 30-barrel fermenters will be added in the coming weeks.
According to company officials, the three 150-barrel fermenters will allow Motorworks’ core lineup to be scaled up considerably, giving the brewery room to keep pace with its growing distribution footprint and meet increased demand throughout the state.
The brewery’s core lineup includes V Twin Vienna Lager, Intellectual Property Ale IPA, Midnight Espresso Coffee Porter, Pulp Friction Grapefruit IPA and Rollcage Red Ale.
Meanwhile, the smaller fermenters will enable Motorworks to scale up some of its small-batch offerings.
