▪  At Paradise Bagel and Cafe in Holmes Beach, 3220 E. Bay Dr., inspectors recorded seeing an employee touch ready-to-eat food with their bare hands. The cafe was also cited for holding food above the advised temperature and for storing raw foods above ready-to-eat food. Inspectors will conduct a follow-up inspection on an unspecified date.

▪  A stop sale was issued on French onion and chicken soup at Bradenton Yacht Club, 4307 Snead Island Road. During the July 26 inspection, the yacht club was also cited for storing raw animal food over ready-to-eat food. Inspectors will conduct a follow-up inspection on an unspecified date.

▪  At the Checkers location in Ellenton, 6020 U.S. 301 N., inspectors observed “employee failed to wash hands before changing gloves and/or putting on gloves to work with food. Grill cook changed task from raw beef to sandwich assembly,” according to the report. The restaurant was given a warning and inspectors will conduct a follow-up inspection on an unspecified date.

▪  Inspectors issued a stop sale at El Warike, 4226 26th St. W., on cooked shredded chicken and heavy cream “due to temperature abuse.” The restaurant was also cited for failing to store raw foods properly.
