Bradenton-Sarasota gas prices among cheapest in Florida
Gas prices in the Bradenton-Sarasota area are among the cheapest in Florida, thanks to average costs having fallen 36 of the past 37 days.
According to AAA’s daily fuel tracker, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded on Monday in the two-county region was $2.08, trailing only Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater ($2.01) and Orlando ($2.04).
South Florida continues to have the most-expensive gas: with West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($2.25), Miami ($2.23) and Fort Lauderdale ($2.21).
The state average was $2.14, well below the national average of $2.26.
GasBuddy, which surveys more than 300 area outlets daily, had Manatee County stations averaging $2.03 per gallon on Monday, with Sarasota County at $2.09. Nearby, Pinellas County stations were averaging $1.99, while Hillsborough County was at $2.07.
