Q: What was the best business advice you ever received?
A: Never ask anyone to do something you are not willing to do yourself. It shows good leadership.
Q: If you could choose another profession, what would it be?
A: I love my job at the restaurant; I manage the floor, do the books. But other than this I would do something meaningful for animals.
Q: What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
A: Opening this restaurant. We came here from Knoxville, Tenn., and wanted to start out on a smaller scale, like a sandwich shop. But here I am, managing a full restaurant.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?
A: I would start in the U.S., starting with Hawaii, then on to Alaska and then the rest of the states that I haven’t visited.
