Faces in business: Victoria B. Brown
Victoria B. Brown
Founder and CEO
Dollar Dynasty Inc., 1922 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Suite C, Sarasota dollardynasty.org
Q: What was the best business advice you ever received?
A: My mom and grandparents instilled in me to give back to the community. I grew up with people giving, helping and caring, and that’s what I ended up doing basically all my life. I started this humanitarian aid and community outreach organization.
Q: If you could choose another profession?
A: Something with music. I would love to learn how to play the organ.
Q: What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
A: From many jobs, full-time and part-time, helping people to then, after retirement, take the decision to start up this non-profit organization. The financial responsibility, the paperwork and time it takes was huge. But giving back is something I was meant to do.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world?
A: I would love to travel the American countryside and stay in bed and breakfasts, soaking up the country life and just relax.
